The rules.
1) If you disagree with someone, don't insult them. Just say why. Keep in mind music is subjective. Besides, I decide who the best drummers are around here, not you. Very Happy

2) If you're new, please don't start a new thread to announce it. Reply to an already existing topic, or start a new topic about drumming.

3) If a "fight" arises between two members and profanity is thrown around along with accusations, I don't care who is "right". Both people will be banned. When in doubt, don't rock the boat. Nobody wants to read he said/she said crap and I don't have time to "investigate" who should stay or go. Crying or Very Sad

4) Please don't start a topic for the sole purpose of making fun of someone (in a video for example).

Just don't rock the boat and you'll be fine.

THANKS!!!

All these rules and regulations to keep in mind...... Fair enough, I can live with that.

I'm going to have to go with the second option on the polls. Not once did I encounter these sponsored links that people complain about.

The sponsored links are a nuisance, but the main reason for my vote is that the old forum is slower than a 3 toed sloth, and I have a very fast connection. Also, this forum looks better, although I would consider lightening up the greens and bit. Perhaps add some blues (color that is). Very Happy

Me too and I never had a problem with the old HOD, everything ran smoothly. PLUS you automatically got logged in! Also the emoticons were much cuter than these.

The only ad I saw was one banner ad and that didn't have any effect at all as far as I'm concerned, it just sat there. It's not as if it was an annoying pop up. maybe I'm missing the point, but if it anin't broke, then why try and fix it?

Simple & fair. I'm all for it, as for the new forum.

Thanks Steve Cool

LOL!

How's that saying go? "The only thing that remains constant is change - and Jeff Porcaro's groove". I'm digging the new. Maybe a bit more (non bogging down) colors. Did the emoticons change from earlier?

Consensus seems to be the login issue for most, including me.

For me anyway, the old board took a while to load (not to mention those hi-jacking sponsored links, bastages!). This one actually is a little slow to negotiate today, might be a temp situation my end.

Thanks, Steve for your diligence!

I still have to login each time. :? Forum looks good w/new logo too!!

Would it be possible to split up the main topics into something like:
General Drumming Chat
What's Up With Your Favorite Drummer
DrumVid/Audio File Shares
Gig-O-Rama
Equipment Talk
Non-Drumming Topics

I know that once this forum gets going, it will be a real pain in the a$$ to search through all of the latest postings if they are all in one group. Just my opinion. Rolling Eyes

Thanks!

Mike

I'm not a fan of sub forums, I like keeping everyone in one place. Forums like that always end up with the main general chat one full of folks and little acitivity in the others.

Thos still needing to login do a CTRL+ F5 on the page, then login again. It may be the last time.
