I have his ablum from a couple of years ago, Taking the Soul for a Walk, and it's just great. The compositions and arrangements are really substantial, the man has things to say, and the playing is wonderful. Need to check this link out when YouTube isn't blocked on my end....

Gavin mentioned on his FB page that the duet was filmed and will probably turn up on YouTube eventually. I don't usually pay attention to these - does GC release DVDs of the performances? I'd be interested to pick one up based on the descriptions. Gavin and Simon for sure but the Steve Smith / Jeff ...

I've always liked Jeff's playing from the old blues-rock stuff through the '70s fusion and into the newer material. I really respect his decision to go with a fingerpicking style some years ago - it makes him unique. Also, it must have taken a major effort to get the new technique up to performance ...
