Re: Cleaning Yamaha Lacquer Shells

They’re in great shape, Paul. A couple of nicks here and there, but nothing crazy. I just feel like up close there’s a slight haze over the York Honey Amber. I’ve read that Windex can do that to a lacquer finish(?). There’s a lot of conflicting info on the “inter-webs” :| concerning using Pledge, Mu...

I want to clean and polish the lacquer finish and possibly use something other than steel wool and Windex on the...

Re: SIMON PHILLIPS - The thread about Simon

That U.K. Drum Show solo above is just....so cool. Pure “Simon” in every aspect, and a pleasure to listen to. DO NOT listen thru your phone though. This one has to be played through headphones or through proper speakers to get the full effect. MONSTROUS sound coming off that kit, especially the bass...

Re: The Peter Erskine Thread

Here’s a first- A month ago I got a re-book call for a gig I was a part of in in Breckenridge, CO last year. The employer was again looking for some light “background music” for an event. Now, I had done this same gig last year with my keyboard player and sequenced bass, playing lighter selections f...
