Re: Tony Williams Discography
Oh I see. So this is all about being altruistic is it? Rationalize away. Why don't grocery stores give away food to people who can't afford it while we're at it? Wow. Really? That's so laughable cause.... They do!! Are you drunk or high? I can't imagine any functioning adult to not be aware of the ...

Re: Tony Williams Discography
I don't believe that a persons musicianship and ability to learn from the great players should be defined by their economic status. True "fucking crazy shit" is to look a kid in the eyes and tell him he can't listen to Tony Williams because he's not rich enough. You gotta be a real sick pe...

Re: DIY hardware cases
I just got the Casico Interstate catalog and checked out the cases, there must be 50 hardware "bags" and/or tilt and go cases by major brands in there for under $200. Think I may just order me up a new one too, the prices seem to have dropped pretty substantially over the last few years.

Re: Tony Williams Discography
I have a Tony Williams compilation consisting of 40+ solos and performances spanning from 64-94 that I am going to seed on DIME in the very near future. Why? What gives you the right to do that? Archiving one of the greatest and most influential drummers body of work so that others may enjoy, exper...

Re: weckl zildjian day 1986
Such awesome playing by Dave, never gets old.
I like his older style a little more, it seems to be a bit more airy. Less dense note wise and playing with the space more, then his current style. Which is equally bad ass.
Those videos are just fantastic. I have to go shed now.

Re: Drum Mics
Matus have you used a sub-kick? Are they worth the money? I'm curious to try one, but nobody I know has one. I've seen a lot of DIY plans to reverse a speaker cone, but I'm sure the built in electronics in the Yamaha are what make it what it is. I'm have to check out the 904's too, I got the 604's s...

Re: Drum Mics
Room and Drums for sure. Different mics, head and drum combination is a big part of the equation. I'm have to jump in the boat on the 57's and D112/B52, the most used by everyone from what I've seen, used and heard. I use Sure KSM 137's for overheads and use the Sennheiser e604 mics for the toms, th...

Re: new track i did
That was, interesting. Is it a clip of a full song? It just doesn't seem to be "anything" per say, doesn't go anywhere musically... but like you said, just 1 minute. Playing is simple, solid and fits with the musical atmosphere of whats going on. IMO, from what I read in the thread as it w...
