Re: Dream Theater

Lang is on tour with Stork currently btw. Choice of prog bands? Maybe he's matured beyond prog and doesn't really have his heart in it anymore. OT: Why is prog still defined as 'complex rhythms'? the mindset that complexity makes it progressive is dumb. Diesel engines are extremely complex, but I wo...

Re: Dream Theater

Like many of you already mentioned it's nice to see some well produced and edited drumming auditions caught on cam. I was really into DT for a long time, but lost interest when things started to sound the same as the record before. MPs drumming is not what I listen to for inspiration but DT sure has...

Re: Incredible Lady GaGa cover by my virtuoso friends!!!!

Yeah thanks Henrik. Cool covers, really competent musicians! Thanks for bringing some native Swedish quality to everyones attention.

The singer is really fantastic, it ought to be forbidden to be that good a singer and keyboard player at the same time!

Re: weckl zildjian day 1986

I had a discussion about this footage with a friend recently, he was around during that time. They played that footage at NAMM that year, he was saying there was simply nothing like it back then, it blew people's minds. The thing is, Weckl has influenced generations of drummers at this point but no...

Re: Vinnie back with Beck on the current European dates?

Thanks everyone for your info.

Yeah Rodge, you're probably right, it was my imagination running wild again. I really want to see Vinnie in a smaller setting some time. Seen him only with Sting live up until now.

If the concert is sold out I guess the problem is solved anyway..... :)

All I can read on sites everywhere is that Walden is in the touring band since beginning of 2010. Anyone have some kn...

Re: VC with Kimo Williams

I have the Tracking CD, it's a nice one. I'm not that into that kind of compositions but Vinnie is nailing it as always. A lot of great drumming on that one.

Anyone have the other one, the live record?
