Hi DSOP, Personally, I've always liked the subtle dampening effect of a carpet, and also it helps the hi hat stay in place as well. I use a rug called a "crash pad". Its a rug with a block in the front that is attached to the rug. It keeps the bass in place. Dixon does make good hardware t...

Sounds good, Jim, it was pretty fun last night. Towards the end the sax player Elija Balbed came out with his bass player and piano player, it was pretty fun.
Songs I got to play with a variety of musicians; moments notice, sidewinder, just a closer walk with thee. Loved it!
