Re: Ralph Angelillo Drum Festival
Those "Jazz" festivals you mentioned are probably about 5% jazz. I wonder why people even feel the need to mention jazz in festivals anymore. I think it's a given that jazz is officially a four letter word, and not something anyone under the age of 40 cares about (unless they've been stud...

Re: Video and Audio synchronizing
When you play the kit are you hearing the addictive drums live? With no lag?.. If so it should be as easy as using a video editor and lining up the waves to each other.. Step 1 make sure the video you are recording has audio from the same source you are monitoring.. and it's lag free.. Step 2 rende...

Video and Audio synchronizing

Re: I need your input
I would consider looking in konnakol as a counting system. It's high math and extremely efficient. Everyone I know who's done it ... it has raised their whole game. Some of the best musicians in the world rely on it. I studied that stuff a ton when I was in college and alot of my concepts come from...

Re: I need your input
I watched your vids.. They might be better described as "Abstract concepts on playing drums for advanced players". I sort of get your points.. for the most part you want the student to try and get to the point where you aren't thinking about anything while playing. Trying to reach a nirva...

Re: I need your input
Jeff, I've watched a few and I see a lot of conceit in all of this. You seem like you have a lot of facility, but so what? I don't see much about making music or, really, learning how to play drums. I see a lot of, "I've been locked away in my shed for years and these are the maniacal rambling...
