Re: VINNIE - The thread about Colaiuta

Hi folks, what questions would you do to Vinnie? Shoot! With most of the drumming heavies, my curiosity nowadays really lies in how they are interpreting music... what they listen for and their overall concept. Vinnie, perhaps more than most other drummers, is in a wide array of musical situations ...

Re: DW Acquires Slingerland

Anybody else remember those mid-1990s/Nashville-era Slingerlands? I haven't owned one, but one of the best drum kits I've ever heard was a set of Slings from that era. Juan I really enjoyed these. Great questions that get to the heart of creativity and true musicianship. Looking forward to more!

Re: Instagram Drummers

TL;DR- Choose your information diet based upon your desired output, goals, or “purpose”. I’ve thought a lot about this subject over the past few years, and listened to a lot of discussion about the impact of social media on the overall creative output and intellectual capacity of society at large (N...

Re: So, racks. (DW, Gibraltar.)

I have the Gibraltar rack at home with DW booms and a couple stands to augment, kind of like Weckl does. It was ~$100 savings over the DW rack. Rarely on a gig would it be practical to drag all that out unless I a) needed a big kit for the music (often not the case) and b) had the load in time to me...
