Re: dave dicenso's update! and old video

Thanks Rudy.
All the Dicenso´s grooves/parts are numbered at the left/below corner.
I guess you mean: number 4, 5, 14 (ahhh) and 15.
My favourite bit is number 2 and the fill of number 16.

Re: dave dicenso's update! and old video

Hi boys and girls !! Some Dicenso´s best moments, in my opinion... As I said, I did some grooves loops from Dicenso´s Modern Drummer Festival 2006 performance. I love so much what he does that I had to make some loops (1-2 bars long) to taste them better. I hope you like. They are 21 grooves/fills. ...

Re: dave dicenso's update! and old video

>>>>> I vote for changing the name of this topic to "Dave Dicenso official thread" or something. He deserves it. I revisited this Dicenso´s drum solo and it´s in the top 10 drumsolos of my list. Modern Drummer 2006 It´s awesome in every level. I´m working on selecting some cool parts of it...

Re: SIMON PHILLIPS - The thread about Simon

Awesome grooves. But did he really need his usual massive kit with a billion toms for those two songs? Seems a bit overkill to me. I think Simon uses/plays every piece of his drumset on those tunes. And he often says: "If I would take off some piece of this set, the general sound of the kit ch...

Re: HODers VIDEOS TOPIC - Your own drum videos here

Great job Kaide!! I don´t like those tunes much (the original compositions I mean), but I´ve listened to your covers. What I feel, and more every day, is that the HiHat is that forgotten weapon/friend, that well arranged gives the song a very big plus (phrasing, dinamics, broken lines...but without ...

Re: Steve Holmes vids

Thanks guys! I actually recorded the drums to a click without any music - then added Logic loops on top afterward. It was fun! That´s what I did with the improvised grooves videos I did (on HODer´s videos), but with shorter grooves. It´s really a very joyful and creative way of music/drum productio...

Incredible playing and good tunes !!
Strange, only one vocal and nobody else doing backing vocals.
