You hear him scream, and at the same moment he screams, he knocks the microphone off the stand and then he disappears

Re: Keith Moon and black dots

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIW93cRpK8k Right on the edge, but with power and balls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv6bCr4K7z8 Seems to me the idea of a rock band going on stage and just playing for the experience of playing is gone from popular circles. Jam bands are one thing, but not the same.

Re: Keith Moon and black dots

I am totally interested in why Tony would respect Keith Moon's playing. It might explain to me why listening to Quadrophenia kills me so much, right in the brain.

Not sure of the veracity, but I didn't know Lifetime opened for The Who. That must have been a volcanic show. “The man is a drummer. Re: Developing Consistent/Solid Time

Simon has an interesting way of playing, he can hose fills, but then they come out right and still within the feel of the groove. That's experience maybe, he's not playing to clicks, it's a bit Tonyish. It's like he purposely rushes through fills to be able to build a little tension for the next sec...

Re: Best drum head brand for retaining tone

Evans on drums are like playing with nylon tipped sticks.

I guess if you need max attack, like for metal, you could go that way. I find them too punchy and thin.
