Re: Letterman drum solo week II

"We can toss names back and forth all day long about who we'd like to see on Drum Week III, but any list is incomplete if it doesn't include..." The Reverend Jeff would hacve fit in well with all the assorted NYC nuts Dave used to have on his show... Harvey Pekar...that guy was a lunatic. ...

Re: Letterman drum solo week II

I'm trying to think of a few drummers who subbed on Letterman, Alan Schwartzberg, Keltner?

I'd love to see Steve Jordan break out those baby blue Yamahas and some Colorsounds.

Re: Tommy Campbell

If you listen closely to the Zildjian Days solo, there is composition to his playing. Nice contrast too, between the toms and cymbals. It's one of my favorite solos.

I liked that a lot, all good. That was killer! You got a great big band right there, with top notch musicians. Use it! Kick ass Tony!!!

Re: Jack! A Love Supeme!

I understand Bobby Rock could also crush DeJohnette, dude's got a HAYOOGE bench, probably maxes at 420-425. He'd squash him like a bug in ANY drum solo competition.

I'd like to see Danny Carey and Bobby Rock go at it, UFC style, in a drum solo competition. That would rule. RULE.

Re: Jack! A Love Supeme!

"Gary Novak crushes Jack up and down"

Ok. Like in an Arnold in Predator sort of way, or Stallone in Rocky IV? Or like a Chuck Norris sidekick?

How old are you?

Good luck on the shows Todd! You'll probably hear me.

South Jersey is a great part of the world.

Could Danny Carey hang with these guys? Probably not.
