weird requests
Anyone experience this? I play in a progressive rock band, not by choice but the guitar player is a good friend. Anyway, we have found a bass player, he seems to be pretty good but the guy calls me out on changes he would like to songs we have already written. I'm all for change but all of them requ...

Re: Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple
Should be great, i have the older maple customs (90's) and they sound nice and are really starting to sound almost vintage to me. my practice kit is a saturn and is huge difference. man im curious to try the phx though, mc's are great but I've had them so long feel like i need a change!! are phx sti...

Re: Perfect metronomic time
Great responses, well turns out this app for my kid had a bpm of 54, pretty slow. appears i was on it which displays green in the middle. that indicates you are on time, but from there it measure you in millisecs, really hard to get a zero btw, that is what I believe you are trying to lower is the m...

Re: Perfect metronomic time
interesting, Weckl out of any drummer I have listened to is just about perfect every time. Vinnie too, but he so much more aggressive in his playing. Dave is always so smooth. I'm really gonna take a look at playing to metronome again, and prob start recording myself. I just usually play lousy when ...

Re: Perfect metronomic time
thx, my thoughts too. i try to have as solid time as i can, usually a little behind the beat. believe me, i have to work at it. i guess if its not 100 percent to the millisecond its ok and i would think most drummers are not that accurate and its more feel like you said. weckl always struck me as so...

Perfect metronomic time
Wow, just did this program with my kid where you clap along to a metronome using a device hooked up to your pc that interfaces with the app itself. tests you by milliseconds, was much harder than I thought, was about 70% correct, when i was off it was only milliseconds. anyone ever done this? ive al...

Re: Russ Miller leaves Yamaha- Yamaha moving to China?
i like the yess mounts. the issue i am having is really my own fault. i had the original kit 10, 12, 13 and 15 hanging 20x16 bd, with the 10 and 12 on the bass drum with no yess mounts. i got a 12 inch std size off ebay with yess mounts, so i decided to put the yess on my 10 inch tom more to match i...
