Lerryns Hernandez snare
So I was just watching the "Reggae for Drumset" video, and just loved the snare drum sound. Some sort of block wood drum which from the credits is by a company who's name starts with a P, but the rest of the logo looks just like bad handwriting, so it's hard to tell. Spent half an hour goo...

Re: Vic Firth 'joins forces' with Zildjian
I mostly use Zildjian Colaiuta sticks which by design are just great, however they need to get a lot better at pitchpairing them. If there's any change at all, hopefully they learn a bit from Vic on this point, because this issue (which is a big one obviously) is the only one I have and it should be...

Re: Best Bags & Cases
Soft cases + hardcases when need sounds like a good idea.

Re: Need traditional Left hand push/pull advice
It's a little weird. I didn't get it propper until just decided to play normal stuff open handed with it for a while and then I just refined it like with any other technique after doing it less than perfect for a while.

Re: Best Bags & Cases
Yeah. I'll hold the flight cases until I need them. Got good contacts on those, still big heavy and expensive, though. Also got a recomendation on Beato bags. Any experience with those. They have some double bags that sound interesting for light travel. I guess some sort of light trolley should be a...

Re: Best Bags & Cases
Simply put I'm an old guitarplayer that started sharpening my drum skills more when I had to start teaching all the band instruments in my current job. I got a bit hooked and since there's always a need for drummers (I've had my share of problems finding decent ones) I'm puttin together everything I...

Best Bags & Cases
Since the old search function on the old forum doesn't work I thought I'd start a new thread on this. I need some advice on good bags and cases, preferably from experienced users. I'm currently mostly transporting it myself, but that probably won't be the case for too long. So who in your opinion ma...

Re: the moeller killer - will it make a difference ??
I've hardly played drums my whole life, but I've experimented with a lot of hand techniques. For fast singles I don't really see any need to do anything different than the downstroke with the arm/wrist and upstroke with the fingers that my first teacher showed me. I don't have to change anything to ...

Re: What heads are you currently using?
Not a very experienced drummer yet, but pretty happy with the coated Ambassadors on top and going between clear and coated resos. Mostly coated Powerstroke 3 on bassdrum. On the snare it varies, but it's mostly Ambassadors, though sometimes they seems a bit too bright. Ahven't gotten around to exper...

Re: Help identifying VC setup.
Thank you to the ones who answered what I actually asked for. I'll have to check those out.
I don't know cymbals as well as I know guitar necks/shapees yet.
