drum book

Hey all, I've been writing a drum book for a bit now. The majority of the materiel will consist of rudiments applied to the drum set(grooves and fills). Lots of examples/ideas inspired by guys like Vinnie, Weckl, and a bunch more. A section of the book will cover a double drumming concept between 2 ...

Re: New Sting album coming out

Vinnie should go do a record with Peter Gabriel... Sam, I agree with you except I would rather not see Vinnie's name on his album if Peter ended up utilizing him like he did Steve Gadd on 'Signal to Noise' from 'Up'. Very cool tune but with NONE of Gadd's personality. ya, you're right. seems as art...

Re: New Sting album coming out

Mercury Falling was the last really good album by Sting in my opinion. Yes, and even that one was borderline. 10 summoner's tales was the last great Sting record IMO. Omar and Manu were great on the previous records. Loved the playing and songs... Vinnie (was aloud) to take it to the next level on ...

Re: blurb help!

I find myself a little hung up on how much or how little to explain. most books of the past(that i grew up with) were pretty much jus...

Re: Daft Punk streaming at itunes

drumming is great. feel, pocket, touch, ect... Music dives backwards and revisits a lot of great sounds/era's. BUT for F$#k sake, :| can we please limit the voice pitch auto-tune crap effect to only one per record. I try and try but i just can't stand it. I automatically skip to the next song. the v...
