Re: John Patitucci w/ VINNIE @ New Morning, DVD DIME & YOUTU
I might be wrong , but I'm pretty sure I've seen this Patitucci footage before ( w/ the green Yamahas ) , and I thought it was on HOD awhile ago ( maybe a year or so...) Maybe it just looks like another show, but I seem to remember an entire show ( or at least a few songs...) Does this video seem fa...

Heart of Things band - this is maybe my favorite Chambers performance - for whatever reason, Dennis playing a 4 piece kit on this show seemed to make him even more creative than usual..... great stuff!

Re: Methods & Mechanics II DVD
Just got back from Todd's clinic here in Dallas this afternoon , and I gotta say, one of the most enjoyable clinics I've seen in years - lots of playing ( which was fantasic.. wow, actually a sound guy that could get a good level between live drums and a track - pretty rare in my experience...) Real...

Re: Sting w/Vinnie >>> October 1, 2011
Well, was hoping Vinnie would be on tour with Sting , but, unless I read it wrong , Sting mentions in an interview ( looks like it's from Rolling Stone.com- just saw a post on Steve Hoffman forums that quoted another article..) his touring lineup.... Supposedly, his band will consist of two guitars, ...

Re: Who is this drummer?
I thought Steve Houghton also... I studied with Steve in Dallas for a couple of years right before he went to L.A. I remember him telling me about playing with Freddie -- Also, the drumming in that clip sounded very familiar to me even before I actually saw the drummer....that being said, it's kind ...

Re: OMFG - Spotify in USA!
Well, actually you don't have the Beatles..:) Although Lennon's catalog, and some of McCartney's is available..... I've had Spotify for a week or so, and I'm impressed so far ( just using the free version..) some major acts aren't there -Beatles, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, ACDC, etc. but otherwise, it ha...

Re: MP3 Players
hi SP, Apple Lossless will take whatever file you convert and give you a new file with the same quality as the one you had before - if it's a CD ( which are Wav files, with each song typically around 35 to 40 megs each)ripping to Apple Lossless you will get the same CD quality, but use about half the...

Re: Nashville first-call drummers
When I first got to Nashville and talked to the Musician's Union, they told me only around 5% of the union members made their living just playing music.. this was about 13 years ago.... I'd say the top guys right now as far as master recording are : Shannon Forrest, Eddie Bayers, Greg Morrow, Chad C...

Watching the pre-telecast at Grammy.com ( where all the actual cool awards are given out..)- the band has Will Kennedy and Luis Conte + Jeff Golub, Kirk Whalum etc.
