I studied with a number of teachers but probably the most influential ones were Ian Froman and Casey Scheuerell.

How long back were you at Berklee?

Saxophonists Mike Brecker and Joe Lovano could/can play great drums. I studied with Lovano, and our "lessons" would consist of just me and him playing duets (sax and drums) and occasionally he would sit down and "show me something" and LITERALLY sound like Elvin (I kid you not!)...
