Re: Vinnie's Paistes
602s are soft cymbals. Any volume you get above a certain dB will not sound quite right. Vinne hits hard and im sure hes found this.
They only go so loud.
Thats a diff from zildjians. Zs are loud cymbals and can be hit. 2002s can be hit too, hard, and sound good.

Re: Recommended Music
These guys are just incredible live, the low end is absolutely NUTS. Like Porcupine Tree, their music doesn't really come alive on the record, at least to me. Hot as blazes here in Michigan...enjoying a good Founders beer and a couple sausages. Going to see some fireworks up close tonight. They light them off 50ft away from a friend's production facility. And hey, let's be careful out there, huh? Happy Fourth of July! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5jI92...

Re: Gary Husband playing in the studio - iDrum Magazine
After watching this and liking what I heard, I went to iTunes and picked up Gary's latest.
Sounds great, and there are a lot of great drum ideas to "borrow". )
Thanks Gary!

Re: Weckl's most scrumtrulescent solo...
There is still something to be said for playing in an ergonomic fashion. I was thinking about this the other day after reading a passage out of Gregg Allman's autobiography. Way back when, he was learning early on that you have to sing properly to be able to make it sound good and not hurt yourself....
