Re: Big Weckl announcement?

Anything good that happens to my favorite drummer on the earth is OK with me. He's my biggest influence. Next to Vinnie that is. I hope he gets a huge gig making lots of money. At the same time musically what he wants to do. Dave is beyond gifted. If Dave Weckl ran for prez I would register to vote.

Thanks for posting Juan. They have been playing that Stern tune forever. Dave sits so far back. Nice camera angle.

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lWjVZn4xQoQ the future of PT is in the hands of Steven. He moves in different directions musically. He goes where he wants. The new solo record is going to be fun. Great band this time around. Maybe in 2 or 3 years Steven might pull his PT b...

Re: New Karizma album out

The tune that Rodge posted was nice. To bad the writers don't write more adventurous. They sure can pull it off. These cats need to get together more often and put some crazy stuff out there before they get to old. Breeds like Vinnie only come around once. Never will their be another. At least all t...

Re: Electronic Drum Pad

Looks like the Yamaha dtx multi 12 will do the trick. I'm not the one buying it. Keyboard player in the band said he will float the $600 for it. Thanks for the input guys.

Electronic Drum Pad

Looking to get a electronic drum pad. Want to trigger keyboard sounds, horns and other various sounds. What is a really good electronic pad? I know of the octapad or the Alesis pads. Want something user friendly and also have lots of sound sources. Don't want to use it for drum sounds. Mostly for ho...

Re: Pete Zeldman new DVD

The link where he plays 5,6,7,9 with a whistle was cool. He's got tons of independence. I would like to develop more. I'm happy with being able to play 5,3,7,2. That took a while. Have never applied it to a gig or recording and never will. Hearing the relationships opens up your head. More freedom t...

Re: Pete Zeldman new DVD

The execution of his independence is spot on. At the same time I can program a machine to do what he's doing so I can hear it. It's helpful to be able to hear and play the relationship of how poly stuff works. Opens up doors. Don't need this instructional video. Its math for ears. I dug the links.
