Yes, I wouldn't "grip" it with your thumb whatsoever if you are using rebound. Thumb and fingers should stay as relaxed as possible with the stick sitting in the pocket. Generally speaking, if you are not using rebound you would tend to "squeeze" the stick with your thumb to musc...

God, I love her playing...so energetic. Yeah she sounds like Tony sometimes, but I don't think she is a clone. I mean, she's playing in Tony tribute band for god sake....who do you want? Donati in there?? lol

Well, I for one, loved that. Haven't seen it before. I love the energy and the spirited fun by everyone. Love all those dry cymbals. I like that whole "controlled chaos" of the whole piece.
