I wonder id Sakae can use the shell combos as Yamaha. I wonder if Sakae can do anything Yamaha has patented. I'm not sure if you can patent drum shell combinations. I do know that I wasn't too impressed with the drum sound in that video. THat old school bop tuning just chokes the F out of drums. Ug...

Not sure about the hearing loss thing but I was surprised he was playing hard with no protection... Makes me wonder if veteran drummers struggle with several hearing loss really. Jojo has pretty sever hearing damage - could barely hear a word I was saying & I was only a metre in front of him haha

I believe Jojo will be covering this type of thing on his next DVD on foot technique.

Hopefully it's more interesting than the Rhythm interview he did earlier this year...
