Excellent!
The only other HODer I have met in person is Todd Sucherman.
I believe a colon-pipe photo with Gavin may be in order...if it's not too passe of course.
Looking forward to meeting you, Danny!

Very cool...
Planning on it, Gavin!
Bringing another drummer who influenced me greatly when I worked with him at a drum shop in the late 70s.
Travel safe!

Re: Josh Freese interview with a couple of Vinnie stories
I remember the NAMM shows when he was one of "those kids" getting everyone's attention in the mid-80s.
Glad to see him make a go of it!
Roli Garcia, jr and Tony Royster, jr were the other kids running around the NAMM Show pounding on stuff and gathering crowds.
I hated those kids.

Steve Holmes wrote:Thanks for the update Rob. Sounds like a solid rock recording.
There are plenty of really tasty Vinnie licks to keep us all happy...while he lays down some solid rock grooves.
Definitely a good record to learn from...especially how everything feels real good.

Re: new Satriani cd
I received this CD from Amazon yesterday. I love pre-ordering and receiving on the release date! I have been *trying* to listen to music while laying in bed before sleep to really focus on the music. Problem...I am not sure if I ever get past the second tune! It doesn't matter what kind of music, bu...

Re: new Satriani cd
Joe Satriani's new album with Vinnie C laying down a simple rock groove...are kidding me? Of course I'm getting it...a clinic on how to play for the tune from a guy who can turn a tune inside out from the drum throne...nice...hope he cuts loose a tad, too. Nice to hear that Vinnie isn't playing this...
