Re: It's time for a new recording interface
I've had one of these for about a year. So far it's been good. Nice and quiet pre amp. Enough XLR inputs for kick, snare, two toms, two floors, and two overheads. Not too pricey either. http://tascam.com/content/images/universal/products/535/main.jpg http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/tascam-u...

Re: VINNIE - Vintage videos...OK or not vintage.
Wow. He is burning on those videos! New drum love? Let's hope the honeymoon lasts a long time.
I dig the Paistes. That bell sound is almost a requirement to play Police songs.
Man… he is still so fast. See him going up to his crashes at almost light speed? The man is 58 years old. Unreal.

Re: Gretsch Solid Steel snare drum
The low tuning part of that video sounds really great. The high tuning is nice too. I can see why you replaced the heavier head with an ambassador. It sounds a little dry with the stock head.
Looks like a great drum that you'll make allot of music with for a long time. Good luck with it, Paul.

Re: Will Calhoun
Will has played some cool stuff over the years. Saw LC live a few times. The most memorable at Rider University in NJ some time in the late 80s. They were kicking ass and taking no prisoners.
I always liked the feel he played on the tune Broken Hearts.

Yeah, the Pelton one was cool. Seems like a nice guy. Met him briefly at the 2005 MD Fest when he came rolling in with Anton Fig. Shawn was cool...
