Thanks Brad.
I'm not really a fan of that stuff, I just don't get the point. I mean, identical drumming would sound cooler over someone saying the same phrase using one of systems. I mean, was the language even intended to be listened to by an audience?

Re: carry-overs from 'old' forum
Outside of copy/paste, there's no way to transfer that stuff over. But it's there if you need it. I also like recommended listening thread. I can create a sticky here and just link to those maybe? that sounds good. thoughts?

Re: Vinnie's ride on 'Secrets'
I just want you all to know that I love this topic.
I always wished the BD sound was a bit more punchier on that CD. Even on the re-mastered version. I'm not sure what the ride is though, I might agree with the old "A" theory, I don't think it's a K Custom.

Re: HOT Latin with Weckl on Eliane Elias' "PANDAMANDIUM"
Well said deep fried. Any occasion I have to play something latiny is esitamted at best - but I've talked to several serious latin guys about it and I know my place (or lackthereof) in the grand scheme. There's a ton of stuff to dive into, and is often challenging to say the least. I was wondered wh...

Re: weckl zildjian day 1986
I had a discussion about this footage with a friend recently, he was around during that time. They played that footage at NAMM that year, he was saying there was simply nothing like it back then, it blew people's minds. The thing is, Weckl has influenced generations of drummers at this point but no ...

Re: New Altered video from the BP
Its was 3 HDV cams. Audio was recorded with the Edriol RH09 I think. The mix is 95% from that with one of the cams audio turned up a *hair*. I'm not really a fan of HDV because it's interlaced, but some friends did all the work with the filming so I was happy to let them =)

New Altered video from the BP
So I decided to try something different this time around. To kind of give a sampler of an Altered show I edited together some of the musical moments that I thought were cool. Not just the solos themselves, but where the rhythm section goes and builds underneath the solos, things like that. We've bee...
