Re: Mid Week Break: Earmeal
Looks like he is ditching the Gruber and going back to his roots of kicking ass instead of wiping it.

Re: Working On My Swing Thing
I would concentrate on learning the song. The piano is playing a head, and that is what the basis is for improvisation. Your phrasing is not within the structure of what the piano is laying down.
Basically you need to learn the song. Don't memorize the solos.

Re: Douchebaggery
This particular video sounds pretty good to me. I think the reason why he rufuses to do what you say is due to how you approached him regarding this. A nice private message explaining the situation usually works if your message is directly from the official Allan Holdsworth or VD channel.

Re: Ash Soan is now playing Gretsch drums
I have a friend who has a couple Sakae kits.
I wonder why Ash left Sakae? Anyone know? What kind of Sakae kit did he used to play? Was the Sakae kit made by Yamaha? I'm sure oneof many kits had been made for Yamaha users then duplicated by Sakae and maybe Daewoo.

Re: Perfect metronomic time
Thanks guys. Good information about a subjet we all are interested about, even obsessed. Could some of you elaborate about how to work/use/analize your playing in a computer waveform? Kepp on the good info !! If you multitrack record your drums, edit them etc... You will see how things line up(or n...

Re: Anyone Have An Update On Dennis Chambers?
Dennis is not off in that Stern clip. He's doing something he's done for years, taking it out. It takes some strong aural chops not to get lost listening to him and holding one's place in the form. Not everyone can do that. I personally thought the vamp on guitar and bass sounded messy. Dennis pick...
