Re: SIMON PHILLIPS - The thread about Simon

Great find by Langmick. Didn't sleep much last night after watching this. It wasn't so much his playing but what he was saying. Was he around late 20's or early 30's? He's so solid in his playing.

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material

Those short rolls really speak. Those snares really bring out detail in the buzz and long rolls. It's like the drum is doing all the work. Would like to hear that new snare in person and mess around with it. Might take it out to dinner if it sounds great.

Re: Tempo Issues-- Help!

Went to the Barnim and Bailey Circus last night. They have a live band that plays most of the show. Holy page turner. Their music books rival entire encyclopedias. Drummer was really good. They are tucked away. they have to view the entire floor. Tigers, people flipping, clowns, elephants, dogs, pyr...

I was going to go see the show but think I will pass. Not a fan of Chads playing.

Re: Branford interviews

Enjoyed the interviews. Liked the Bob Costas one the best. There were quite a few things I disagree with him on pop music.

Re: Hey Gavin Harrison, how did you like NAMM?

A grand for the 14. Ouch. I can buy a bunch of snare drums with a thousand bucks. I'm sure it's an amazing snare drum. Like Rodge said in another topic. It's not the drum, it's the drummer. It's out of reach price wise. Hope it sells well. Sonar put outs great stuff. Wish I had the scratch for this ...

Re: Russ Miller leaves Yamaha- Yamaha moving to China?

Japan. China. As long as the quality is still there. It be news if they made their drums on let's say Mars or Mercury. I'm sure labor laws there are a bitch!
