Re: GH "The Man Who Sold Himself"

Hi Kurtis

be careful what you wish for. Live dates are planned for this summer in the UK. I'm not sure a live DVD would sell millions though :-)

Re: Axis pedal dilemma.

Hey Guys I happily played the Axis Longboards for 9 years and they were great. They have a particular feel - and that (like any new pedal) does take a little bit of time to get used to. I wasn't looking to change but I got sent a pair of Tama Speed Cobras to try and I loved them. They had more power...

Re: Oh, my, God !!!

This is great - I was looking for a drummer to do a dinner music set - (bossa novas etc) in a quiet high class restaurant in London. I think I've found my man !!! :D

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material.

Julián I check the tuning and tone by listening through the mics. I put in my fully closed custom 'in ears' and then a pair of shooting headphones over them - giving me possibly the maximum isolation from the physical sound. That way I can hear the drums (kind of like an engineer would in a control ...

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material.

Actually I used the in ear monitors on both takes. I just put the big headphones over the top of them (unplugged) to shut out even more sound.

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material.

thanks for posting them Juan

I was actually trying to just get ONE drum solo recorded - and these are the two takes that I kept. That's why they're similar ideas - but at the end of the day I let them both go.

Glad you liked them

Re: GAVIN HARRISON - VF signature sticks video

Thanks for the kind words about the playing and the sound. There are videos on YouTube where you hear the drums just off the camera mic (the stuff from PASIC 2008 for instance) - but I don't think that's really a good sound as it's extremely coloured and compressed by the sound of that mic. You'd on...
