Well sales people at GC not knowing about a new product is par for the course... If you know the model number/letters it should pop up in their computer easy enough.
I almost always roll with the part numbers now to stores, it's just so much faster then trying to explain.

Re: Vic Firth Customer Service
You should be able to have your LDS or GC, Sam, etc order any pair of VicFirth sticks if they have a vicfirth account. If they don't want to or are unwilling to do that for you, that would be pretty lame. However I've never had an issue having shops attach a few new models of sticks on to their regu...

Re: New kit with a 5 month wait for now non-standard sizes.
Flood damage SUCKS!! That is sad, nothing can truly replace what is lost. Particularly when you have look at the ruined gear. You'll be stoked on the new kits! Yamaha was 6 months for my custom 7x8 tom for my Beech Custom's, so your definitely in the "normal" realm for ordering time. New k...

Re: Carlock and Weckl Duet
Gadd played different stuff... I mean, from burning Samba's to Eric's slow jams and blues shuffles... I may hate Gadd's drum sound, but the dude is a chameleon. I have much respect for Keith, I think he's a great player, he obviously has the chops, which is why I wonder why he keeps his playing so 1...

Re: New Karizma album out
Worth it for the old school unreleased stuff! and much of it is a lot more listenable than Document. Do you mean like, it's more "music" music, where as Document was just an absurd mind blowing display of musicianship... not your easy listening for sure, sometimes you have to just turn it ...

Re: Hex Rack II
Actually, the new version of HexRack is quite a bit less than the earlier version. A front rack w/ two CH-755 booms streets for $399. So $400 for just the front bar? That makes for what $600 for a 2 sided rack? Definitely not a small purchase. 3 sided is going to run you 800-1,000 bucks or so? Just...
