Re: In ear monitors
I’ve been researching in ears myself.
The only downside I’ve read about so far is the risk for ear infections is allot higher due to the closed/hot/sweaty nature of them.
Anybody have any troubles like that?

Very cool! Thanks.
I got about 75% of them on first listen. Some are tough!
NPR does have some cool music related programs. Interviews especially.

What a waste...
I really like her Back To Black album. Strong voice with a cool sense of timing and phrasing.
Henry, you reminded me of a poster I saw at a shop a few years ago.

Re: History of contemporary music
Steve Smith does a pretty fantastic job in his
"Drumset Technique/History of the U.S. Beat" DVD set.
On the "History" DVD (DVD 2) he covers everything from early jazz all the way through to modern rock / funk.

Re: Andy Fisenden
What did Christopher say? His kit looks great, as does she! :D The girl from the first clip? She is pretty smokin'. :) Here's Andy on some Yammy electronics. Pretty cool. Not a big fan of the tom or kick samples, but the snare sounds ok. Great player though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPTjYnIeH...

Excellent stuff. The whole band is slamming.
His kit sounds great, as does he.
They’re growing some rad drummers down in Oz huh?

Re: Supra detuning fast...
Another option is to use a little LockTite Blue (NOT red) on your tuning rods. Clean the rods and lug inserts thoroughly, getting all of the old grease or lube that exists off. Paper towels on the rods and q-tips for the lug inserts work fine. You can actually screw the q-tips down into the threads ...
