need a controlled experiment for ears

same mic, same heads, same tuning, same drum size, same wood

some sort of double blind test.

coudl you tell which one is the DW tom? THAT would be interesting.

I went over the edge a bit on my post, but I know where some of you guys are coming from. This is somewhat of the new model for making music though. Consumers pay up front, or prepay for the album. It's a guarantee to make sales. I think its just too risky for this type of genre to put out an album ...
