Now that's not a bad idea... perhaps black sharpie on an etched head might show through?

But yeah, sharpies on a coated head might be the easiest and best way to do it. I'd bet that's all meg white had for her peppermint and polka dot kits.

Dang, great solo with a nice build! I really like that ride cymbal too. What a cool opportunity.

Re: Up tempo comping

I listen to a lot of music first, find what I like, then transcribe it. Also I'd spend a ton of time practicing just my right hand at the ride cymbal only. Just sit with a cymbal on a stand, headphones and one drumstick. Nothing sounds worse than someone trying to fumble through all their cool licks...

Man you can totally tell it's one of those perfect nights... the room sounds good, the band is good, the vibe is good. What a cool capture.

Also transcribing 8 bars of any of this would take me at least couple months to begin to sink in. He's definitely in the zone.

Re: Drummers Who Seemed to Dissapear.

I often wonder about the big name drummers (who arent actual celebrities) and wonder what paid their bills for this month. Like who? Anyone besides Tommy Lee, Travis Barker, Ringo Starr, Dave Grohl etc... Basically everyone on Drummerworld minus the huge name players who have celeb status or are de...

Re: What's your most difficult part of the Rudimental Ritual?

how do you play triplets while keeping the samba foot pattern? I attempt to play by feel. or do you adjust the foot pattern to triplets as opposed to eights/sixteenths? I have the foot pattern on such an autopilot that they stay playing straight 8ths while my hands are playing triplets. If I adjust...
