Re: Methods & Mechanics II DVD
Hey Chris, Thanks a lot, and great to hear from you! Yeah, I've heard stories about guys breaking ride cymbals. I'm not even sure how that's done! I still break a fair amount but seems like less in recent years. Anyway, thanks for the positive feedback and for licking the DVD up in the first place! ...

Re: Methods & Mechanics II DVD
Juan-- Those are GK Ultraphone indeed. They don't make the Superphones anymore, which I thought sounded significantly better but aren't as comfortable over long periods on time. I have 1 pair of Supers and 2 pair of Ultras. langmick--- Thanks! And no, I took nothing the wrong way at all. Hope you di...

Re: Methods & Mechanics II DVD
Chris--- Thanks for picking it up and really happy you dig it! Thanks, brother. CPS--- I hear you. We've all been through gear nightmare evenings. It seems drummers love stealing the "weasel bits" off house kits. I learned that the hard way a few times.....hence the "Quick Tip!" ...

Re: Signature Empyrean Snare Drum
Richie, Thanks for your kind words and for your trust. I know you will be thrilled as I was, as #1 will be....and #s 3 and 4 are on hold now, so great timing. Working with Pete is an experience you'll love---your own personal Stradivarius, in my opinion. Congrats and deepest thanks. We'll be in touc...

What would you create?
I'm sitting at O'Hare with a long layover waiting to go home, and I started wondering. With launching the Empyrean snare drum and being involved in the creative process of designing a drum........I wondered in you guys had any ideas of something you'd like to see in a drum. Something that's never be...

Re: Signature Empyrean Snare Drum
Chris---- Thanks. It's definitely a player's drum. Unlike the $10,000+ Triumphal reissue (which is a trophy and un-playable due to the old school gut wires and 20's style strainer) this drum screams to be used. Kinkiymook--- Funny, one of our purchasers had to wait for his wife's approval before pul...

Re: Signature Empyrean Snare Drum
Deseipel--- Thanks! DSOP, you are correct. Josiah, Pearl offers many different snare wires with different materials, strand sizes and widths. I use them or snappy (cheap) on all my drums. Why? Because there is a brightness and a crispness that they have. Every time I bought a drum with some expensiv...

Re: Signature Empyrean Snare Drum
DSOP-- I'm with you. Josiah--- Thanks a lot. Of course we realize the price point is high but the idea isn't to have a "cash cow" on our hands. As trite or idealistic as it sounds, we wanted to do something unparalleled. We would be happy with a handful of orders. Otherwise poor Pete would...
