Drum cover - Hope by Mahavishnu Orchestra

Hello fellow HODérs!! I just put up a new video when I went to my studio today trying to play some Mahavishnu Orchestra stuff. Oh man, those tunes are hard to play, and I do hear several mistakes here, but it was so hard to play through the changes, I just couldn´t nail it perfectly. Great fun thoug...

Re: Check out the track I recorded recently!

I heard the track when the thread first was put up, and thought a bit what I wanted to say, but felt I rather didn't say anything at first.... Since much of that is already now said, it is very much what I initally thought - the song turns out to be a bit of a mess and a production that I felt was t...

Re: Ot: The best in ear there is?

Last summer I did check out various IEM's and asked a lot of sound engineers I know and others that I know use IEM's. Almost everyone asked me to check out JH Audio. And I did get their JH-16 Pro model. And I am still very pleased with them. It is very important to get a perfect impression at an aud...

Re: TONY ROYSTER JR - MONTREAL DRUM FEST 2012

It bugs me a little that they will set up an inflatable rabbit or some clothes dryers but can't lug some real temple blocks and a glockenspiel.

Exactly!! I've always felt that an electric sampled version is a budget, transportation or limited stage space alternative for the real thing.

Re: LIVE FAKES - Listened but not played live

I have no problem with having extra stuff happening. It only bugs me when people pretend they're doing something when they're not. Same feeling here. It is so common now, and some of the things you can do can add som extra spice to the show. I occasionally play in a U2 covers/tribute band, and rece...

Re: Gary Husband playing in the studio - iDrum Magazine

Spirited and always truly improvising. Gary has this raw organic feel which is just so refreshing, can't get tired of his playing, one of the gods of drumming no doubt Yes, indeed! Exactly how I feel as well. It is so refreshing to hear how he goes at it with seemingly no preconceived ideas and how...
