Re: Sting/Paul Simon Tour
Paul's music is pretty mellow. Stings tunes are full of energy. It's a stadium tour and that makes for bad acoustics. This is a pass. Vinnie or no Vinnie. Wouldn't be able to hear all of his goodness. If sting is gonna play music from his latest album you will need a bed to sleep on. Paul Simons tu...

My prediction/sources say "Vinnie", and you can quote me... I might need tix. who's playing with PS?

Some New Recordings-M.C.E.-sammy j watson
Hey guys, It's been a while since I had anything recorded to share. Here's a fun little side project (reggae/rock) to check out. It's mixed and mastered so I can't change anything but was curious what you all thought about the mix/sound. Was fortunate to have some North Texas cats on horns to ad to ...

I heard of them a few years back and really gravitated towards the tune, "No Thank You Mr. West". Monster stuff...

Re: Dave Elitch on Jimmy Fallon
Please explain to me the allure of playing for pop stars like her or Madonna or KeSha for that matter. I do love playing but the idea of supporting these non-artists is sickening. I just don't see it. It's playing 4 until you are blue in the face. No appreciation from the audience either I get why ...

Re: Cymbals angled away?
Maybe Chris is so damn talented that he's trying to level the playing field by making it more difficult for himself :) I personally think it's a fad/attitude that some of these guys are going for. plus some of these players strike the cymbal from the under/upward and over/downward swiping motion (De...

Re: A new gig. Ambivalence...
If you can't stand the music, I'd walk away. If it's just something you haven't done before, maybe try it. I was in a band and they wanted to do some electronica type of music. I had no clue about it, but had some of the chops to pull it off. It ended up opening and pushing my playing in all kinds o...
