Re: Vinnie's new cymbals

Drumpal, while I understand what you are saying, I still don't understand how you can feel that something as subjective as "they sound good" is concrete. I think Pearl drums sound horrible. TO MY EARS. That doesnt mean they suck or they are inconsistent, I just don't like them. Maybe the i...

Re: Vinnie's new cymbals

I am not very familiar with paiste. Recently I have heard a few drummers locally with Paiste rides and only one impressed me. I may be in the minority but I like the inconsistency with Zildjian cymbals. I like that a friend of mine has the exact same 18" K Dark Crash as I do and they do not sou...

Re: Erskine Jazz Essentials app released

Any chance of a release for Android? I bought your Polynome last year when I had an iPhone and liked it. I would definitely buy this one as well.

Re: Big Weckl announcement?

I'm not quite sure what Steve Orkin is really upset about. People pledged money within the given time frame, yet the goal wasn't reached within that time frame. Those who donated were (rightfully) perturbed that while they followed the guidelines, others did not. Reminds me a bit of what happens in ...

Re: Cindy on Dennis's drums....

I felt weird watching this. I couldn't make it thru the whole solo. She looked very uncomfortable. You are correct. The drums sound not so good.

Re: Hex Rack II

Flamaque, I have used a Gibraltor rack with the short curved arms for years. This past Sat I hung a 15" tom, an 18" Wuhan china and a 19" A medium crash off the right arm. Didn't budge at all. I have had the rack since '96 and it has never disappointed me at all. I can't speak for the...

Re: VC on the cover of next month MD.

My wife bought me a brand new Black Beauty about a year and a half ago. I love it. I'm interested in checking out the Carl Palmer sig snare as well.

Re: VC on the cover of next month MD.

I've had my DW's going on 8 years and its only been in the past 2 years that they really started to sound good. Once I put Remo's back on they have really come alive. Yes I can get them thuddy if I wish but I can also get a nice round tone out of them. I wont compare them to my Yamahas because the Y...
