Great Ian solo from back in the day. His hand speed is absolutely nuts!

Re: John Bonham appreciation thread
While Bonham is justly recognized for his fat, deep-as-the-ocean groove, I think his technical skills are somewhat underraetd. Listen to this solo...the man had great rudimental chops, especially in his early career - plenty of speed and power. [youtube_https:108bp976]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: John Bonham appreciation thread
Man, Kashmir is such an absolutely hypnotic groove...deceptively simple, but few drummers can get the feel and power behind it.

Re: VINNIE - The thread about Colaiuta
So I'm curious as to what you all think the essential elements of Vinnie's unique "feel" are: those special things that let you know that it's Vinnie you are hearing, even when you haven't actually read the credits on a given song or album. To me, I usually can identify him by a combinatio...

Re: Steve Smith Back in Journey
Forgive me for changing the subject from Steve Smith, but anyone else think that the gentleman in the vid below takes a bit after Mr. Smith?
