One of the tastiest drummers I have encountered in a while.. The beat starting at aprox. 6:50 is gold. Clean chops, great sound too.

Re: Steve Smith and Jojo Mayer duet at VF
I don't know, it was not THAT bad.. Indian singing was ok, maybe a bit gimmicky but what the hell. I don't quite see the point of this video, maybe they just had some fun at the studio and vic firth decided to release it. I like the fact that Steve is trying something different with the tala and all...

Lombardo gets the boot.
Seems like one of my earliest drumheroes, the mighty Dave Lombardo was fired from Slayer. Ahh, the power of money.

Re: Branford interviews
Interesting Wynton Marsalis interview and thoughts from jazz pianist Ethan Iversons Do the Math -site(lots of great interviews etc., for anyone interested). I don't really agree with everything but kind of understand more where these guys are coming from. http://dothemath.typepad.com/dtm/wynton-mars...

Re: Big Weckl announcement?
As far as I'm concerned Dave's free to do what he wants, whether being totally artistic to being a complete sell-out. I won't tell him what to do. The scary thing here is that it seems to be ok with some people that a company can alter and break some of its core rules to make money. Opposing to GREE...
