Re: Home recording.

That's true just for putting things down and practicing, but I wouldn't learn anything. I'll offcourse use things simply often enough, but the whole idea is to start getting really into it. My studies might very well include 50% of engineering and music production. That depends a bit on what studies...

Home recording.

So. As many other things, recording gear and learning how to use it sort of fell by the wayside, too. We all need to know this stuff today, though. My old PCs are fried, so I'm starting from scratch. Basically I want to learn a DAW and I guess it's best to go with Pro Tools. Logic has been as much a...

Re: The WHY?!? snare thread.

Very nice. Is that a radio king? I see you have a Joel Rothman book. He lives about 3 miles from me. I visit his house every now and then and buy books from him for my students, mostly 'Reading, Rudiments and Rock Drumming' or the three 'R's book as he calls it. I was taught reading (not by him) fr...

Re: The WHY?!? snare thread.

And today I got this. No explanation needed I suppose. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i237/Odd-Arne/s-l1600_zpsp7zst7vm.jpg I switched my priorites. Living expenses are way down. I'm snatching up these few snares I've been wanting. Ordered another hi-hat stand. L80s set and Aquarian Super-Pads fo...

Re: The WHY?!? snare thread.

Looks like you're pretty much covered there. I've been updating gear, but mostly building working on the practicing kit, extra pedals... Figure there's no better place to invest, really. I did however get this thing. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i237/Odd-Arne/s-l1600_zpsrgmp10aa.jpg I do alread...

Re: VINNIE - The thread about Colaiuta

A friend of mine told me to listen to the latest podcast, from Bill Burr. I don't listen to much of him, but if you like him (or not, I guess), I would suggest you pull it up, go to about eight minutes in and listen to the show review...dropped a certain name!....>;) http://www.billburr.com/podcast...

I expect you to drop at least 2, maybe even 3 sticks.

A jazz brush dance would also be nice. Preferably wearing a tutu.

Shane will hook you up.

Even as a Norwegian that's where I've bought most stuff from.

DCPM even tune the drums when they do demos. I know. :o It's shocking.
