Re: Vids from the last Altered gig.
There is a big difference in your playing with the band this time around. Some different ideas and nice flowing hands. Looks like the shed is paying off. The other two guys seem to lack enthusiasm. You are overpowering them in the playing department. Maybe they need to turn it up. Thanks for posting.

Re: UK reunion!
That clip with Terry is just bad. Hey Terry you ever heard of a crash cymbal!? You know, a cymbal that is not layered with 4 other cymbals. Hey Terry get rid of a few chinas!! Holy shit man. Every cymbal is a china. What the fuck! I cringed every time he hit on in that clip. Play for the music terry...

Re: PETER ERSKINE - Playing Electronic drums
electronic kits have improved a lot through the years. peter did sound like peter on that kit. would have been better if you just heard the kit and not the tapping of the pads blended in. don't like electronic kits myself. the feel is just horrible. and the cymbal pads. yuck.

That Players album is simply great. All four guys played their asses off. Steve is in rare form. People kept asking for another Players album. Too late now.

Re: Let's help JJ Johnson, if you can...
Sad news about JJ. Hope he gets better and stays better. Great player. Hope he's not depending on others to pay his medical cost. That's freakin pathetic. I'm sure he knows that you need some type of health care insurance. Or gamble your life by not having it. Put money aside for health insurance in...

Naw Steve. Pad play in the kitchen. It works. Have no idea why. But yup it works. Reals drums would kill your vibe.

Re: One of my favorite 'You Tube' drummers, Max Sansalone...
Max has nice feel. The guy who won couldn't hit the drums hard enough for a freakin pop song. Keith and Max played to much clickety clack for my taste. to much rim stuff going on. weckl would have a field day with his pretty cross stick work.

Re: Grp Super Live In Japan 87
That No Zone tune is killer. Weck's playing in that tune is god like. The way he builds up the groove around chicks solo is just amazing. Phrase after phrase. The weckl songo is pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty good in that song. If I want to get inspired I listen to that sect...
