Re: Deep Blue Yamaha Recording Custom
nice playing. i love the sound of your RC's. makes me wish for my ol' ones again. i love the 5 piece setup w/ the 2nd rack tom. i may have to do that again. i never liked how my 2nd rack tom made my ride be so high up but with the 18" kick, it seems i can get a reasonable playing height with th...

Re: 11 minutes of flawless drumming
thank you for posting. his first video isn't shabby either. very chopsy and groovin'. definitely got some dream theatre prog / gospel chops in there also. the vid posted here was great also. loved his ostinato on the hats that permutated into differents signatures and feels. what a fantastic drummer...

Thank God it didn't, 'cause I don't like them at all. I prefer the bass drum on the ground. I don't want the beater hitting dead center.

Re: Methods for learning a song

I recently am having to sub for a top 40 band in town and I had to figure out a way to learn alot of songs (30) for one nights' gig. I'm relatively a self taught drummer / reader (except for rudiment...

Re: Peter Erskine Joy Luck PlayAlong
i bought it and am truly amazed! now if i could just follow any of the lead sheets. i was hoping there'd be lead sheet just for drums instead of a master sheet / piano / bass lead sheets but i'm sure if i was a learned musician w/ proper theory training it wouldn't be a problem. still - it is very i...
