Re: Assorted videos / YouTube thread
I just watched Kai's Loota kit demo and then this vid popped up on the side. Cool to see a cajon kit used in more standard drum kit fashion and it works, just softer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTaxIZA-dAI Kit in vid is made på Groove Industries in Holland. Slightly different concept from the L...

Re: DW Acquired by Roland
Since Gretsch is what I like that would be something I can relate to. Re: DW Acquired by Roland
If it helps staying afloat and helps with e.g. distribution it could be a good thing. Hopefully they'll respect the legacy, which I see reason to doubt in this specific case. DW's actually been good for Gretsch as far as I can see and I hope that trend continues. Times are uncertain and Roland has g...

Re: Female Drummers
There surely are fewer females drummers out there in general.
Today I think you get more points for it than you loose. I've never observed anything to the contrary worth noting. Some people choose to see issues everywhere, but that's on them, really.

Re: Quarantine Chatty!
Sometimes I think the weirdest thing about me is that I don't watch football. Did enjoy playing it for a while, though.
Can't say seam sealing my new home was much fun either, but hopefully it'll lead to some fun.

Re: Steve Holmes vids
It's interesting to see other's tuning approach. I have the gadgets, but I don't really use them. Can be interesting just to see what I've done, but that's about it. I'm super boring. Toms are usually equal and snare is though whatever sounds and feels good in the situation usually a tiny bit lower ...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!
It's normal to relax on the chops and not have to pull them out all the time as we age. At the same time there is usually a flow there that we couldn't even start approaching in our younger years along with usually a more defined identity. The fire is still there, but it's a different type of fire. ...
