Re: Sabian HH Production Question
Wow, right on Todd! That makes me feel so much better about using this little bad boy :D I've played on quite a few 20" HH Manhattans in my life, but this one just has that magic sound... I'd be devastated if it broke on me. Perhaps I actually will have them make me a duplicate, as long as it d...

Sabian HH Production Question
I know that some models in the Sabian HH line have been totally replaced by the HHX line, but was wondering if Sabian still produces HH series cymbals upon request? I have a 20" HH Manhattan Ride that I am in love with, but have grown weary of gigging with because I am afraid that if I crack it...

Re: Stick Choice and Rebound
The stick needs proportionally more mass toward the front in order to rebound well. I'm not quite sure if this is correct, if you mean "front" to be the bead. If one wants a stick that readily rebounds, then you want more mass on the other side of the fulcrum, opposite the bead-end of the...

Re: Stick Choice and Rebound
SD2 Bolero.
That is stick is sick. It's fat in diameter, but not too heavy (maple). It also has an abrupt taper and a nice round bead. It feels meaty without controlling you.
SD2 Bolero
Round tip.
L = 15 3/4" | Dia. = .635"

Re: Dream Theater
There's a lot of air drumming happening at DT shows... Mangini's not going to let that die.

Re: Dream Theater
Let's be honest, would you rather have your kid listening to DT or Katy Perry? What's wrong with listening to both? :) Katy Perry's boobs and Mike Portgini's 8 bass drums can't exist in the same dimension... your iPod will almost certainly run out of battery-life :shock: _ http://www.katyperryfans....

Re: Dream Theater
These types of bands and drummers can inspire kids to become musicians because they're so over-the-top in so many ways. Hopefully, once these kids play for a few years, their curiosity will lead to them to discover other artists via their own investigation, or via reading about the influences of th...
