Re: Jojo's new pedal

First, I don't have great foot technique - it's ok, but never where I've really wanted it - I hate working on foot technique too - it's like trying to make myself go run, I played a DW9000 for a long time and never really liked it - too bouncy for me - I don't have a heavy foot, kinda weak actually....

Re: VINNIE COLAIUTA - Recent activity...

I saw Vinnie with Sting last night at Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA. This was my first time to the venue and everyone told me how wonderful it was and there isn't a bad seat in the place. While true, the sound was bad. The band lacked energy and Vinnie's performance was not up to expectations. He see...

Re: Carlock moves to Grestch

I guess DW can handle my over - tightening better than Yamaha Apparently so. Drum Workshop builds hardware for body-builders and lumberjacks. Yamaha designs hardware for sensitive arthritis sufferers. Hahaha - that was a good one DSOP - point But, seriously - the 9000 series hardware was waay too h...

Re: Carlock moves to Grestch

Yamaha tom holders kept stripping the 7 years I played Yamaha hardware - had to replace them all the time. No problem with DW tom holders and I've used them for 5 years - I use 7000 series - which I love - and it's not as heavy as Yamaha "light" hardware - the 9000 series is the backbreake...

Re: Carlock moves to Grestch

Two very different drums in my opinion - To my ears and in person, the Gretsch definitely have more "spice" to them than the Yamaha's - I owned MCA a couple of years ago and recently the USA Custom - the Yamaha's are much cleaner and focused than the Gretsch - I prefer the Gretsch shells. ...

Re: Official Dirty Loops thread!

Yes, they're great musicians...but, I fall on the side of those who don't like this cover version. The spirit of the song is lost. The Beiber cover they did was great - they took that song up a notch and kept the spirit of the tune what it is. The Adele cover is all over the map melodically and rhyt...
