Re: Jojo's new pedal
For some reason, I love it when Josiah is wrong.

Re: Vinnie signs deal with Paiste.
It's a blow to Zildjian, but I don't think it's as big of a blow as some of you all are making it out to be. We also don't know the facts, so the personal jabs at the guys from Zildjian - who generously post here sometimes - are way out of line. Maybe he wanted a different sound all together and tha...

Re: Carlock moves to Grestch
The Brooklyn series sound and look great - love the wraps! Only thing I don't like are the depths of the bass drums - 18x16? 20x18? 22x18? That's all that's offered. I know they're keeping the cost down by limiting sizes, but these are marketed as vintage drums - yet they have modern sizes? Confused...

Re: Vinnie signs deal with Paiste.
Whatever Paiste's he's playing in the Sting vids sound very thin to me - not digging it at all - I think the A Customs/K Customs he played were much fuller sounding. The Paiste china is weak too. Seem to be much softer in volume too.

Re: Vinnie signs deal with Paiste.
While I love his drumming - my respect for him as a whole has really gone downhill over the past year - from sneaking out of another door so I couldn't get a picture with him after a Herbie concert to acting crazy about being filmed - he's just giving off this bad vibe overall - doesn't seem to be l...

Re: Jojo's new pedal
I've never felt a pedal I'm truly comfortable with either. I have the DW 9000 pedal now and it's great but because there are so many combinations of setting it up - it takes forever to try out all the different possibilities - it's also a pain in the ass to change all the settings - I'm looking forw...

Re: Weckl no longer with Yamaha?
I've never played a recording custom, oak custom or phoenix kit - I used to own the maple custom absolute (great drums), but as much as I've tried and even wanted to believe it - I couldn't tell the difference between Weckl playing on the Recording, Oak or PHX kits. He sounds the same on all 3 to me...

Re: Vinnie no longer with Zildjian?
A qoute from another forums posting... "Word is that he "fired" Zildjian officially 2 days ago .... Vinnie keeps his cards close to his vest ....he was testing Paiste before NAMM because Zildjian had pissed him off one too many times for sending cymbals to him for gigs that weren't t...

Re: Vinnie spots the camera...
With a name like Old K Ride, I'm sure you're on cymbalholic, if not - check it out...have you read about the new Zs that have come out recently? The new K Custom Complex Dark Ride actually sounds like Gadds old K ride from the 70s for real - not like the man hole cover session rides...which I owned ...
