Re: Another Nightmare Gig From Hell-- Book

This is great... My chapter would start out like; We finally got set-up and started the first tune. It was an outdoor festival with folks walking around. About 6 bars into the first song the guitarist stops and says, "Let's start over...I didn't like that one." I looked for my shotgun! :ev...

Re: STYX Grand Illusion/Pieces of Eight dvd

"Hey guys....it's way back HERE," the overall musical effect is that it sounds like the drummer is tired and can't keep up. So not only to I feel like an ass doing that-- I end up sounding like one too, musically speaking. Hey Todd...I was wondering on the playback if that's how it REALLY...

Re: Berklee advice

Definitely get familiar with theory, chords, ear training, piano before you go. These things can be very difficult and stressful starting out. They can possibly make your life miserable at school. Find a piano teacher who teaches theory and do it on the piano. Prepare yourself for Berkelee, right n...

Re: Drum video - Green Flower Street

DoooD... Man after my own heart with this groove. I could play this stuff 24/7. You prove the point of how difficult it is to lay way back, deep in the pocket and have every hit under the microscope, like a stand-up doing a solo set...nowhere to hide. It's all about the subtly...simple on the surfac...

Re: Steve Hass new youtube channel!

The New York Voices stuff is major league playing imo. You can't fake your way through that show. Something about these guys that yells...WE ALL ARE REALLY FREAKIN' TALENTED (at a scary level) Steve...sounds like you and Hass need to get started on the next HOD short feature. Dude...you're due for a...
