I dig the drumming on Mission Impossible TV show from the 60's and 70's...it's playing now here in WA.
There is A LOT of space in that show unlike TV of today...the musical director filled much of it with
snare and cymbal work...excellent stuff. Love to know who played on all this stuff.

Jim,
I literally found out minutes ago that all of the drums were programmed by Jonathan Wolff, the theme's composer who also did the theme for 'Seinfeld'. A detailed answer from Jonathan, about the samples used, can be found in the November 97 issue of Modern Drummer with Kenny Aronoff on the cover.

Me too. I thought for years it might have been Novak. I had forgotten that I posted about this about 10 or 11 years ago on the old, old, old HOD forum without getting an answer. I quoted something I read Jonathan say about answering a question in MD concerning the music to that show. After a simple search in the MD archive, I found the answer.

John Guerin is generally credited with playing the theme. LA studio cats like Hal Blaine, Earl Palmer and John Guerin are the likely answers for the incidental music
