I have never seem to have the "BOUNCE" with my mounted floor toms but alas the kit has been ordered and after talking to my AR rep at YAMAHA I will be picking up on Tuesday.... yes that soon.
So here are the sizes....
Cherry Red
8x8 (on order)
10x7.5
12x10
14x14 Floor
16x16 Floor
22x18 Kick....lucky to get this one as they are no longer made.
The RC's have that certain sound that I grew up with and this is why I am ever so excited....
Thanks for your input and I will post some pic up as soon as I get it, not sure on video.....my balls aren't that big for here.

Oy. It's for these reasons why I think I'm always going to by used gear from now on. I may have to hunt a bit more for it, but when I have the money it shouldn't be too difficult to put together a "used" USA Custom or Maple Absolute kit...
Three years is an insane wait- it shouldn't take that long to get a product to a customer...

A new custom order from Gretsch won't take more than three months. Brooklyns within a few weeks.
Re: New kit with a 5 month wait for now non-standard sizes.
My Ayottes took 3 months but that was for a custom color. A student wanted a floor tom to match his Sonor kit, they told him 3 months. Another student wanted a big Pearl set, three months. There's no way anything should take three years. That can't be a normal time, something must have gone wrong or gotten mixed up.
Also did anyone notice that Yamaha ditched all of their signature snares?

I agree 3 years seems insane I'm sure if it was that long dude would have mentioned something when I put the deposit on... still going to call and ask.
bstocky - Almost all the companies are ditching the signature snares. Pearl, Yamaha, etc They don't sell anymore. I believe that Pearl is only keeping the Chad Smith snare, probably because it's the only "signature" product that's reasonably priced.

Well it was ready to be picked up yesterday afternoon at Yamaha HQ and I must say the finish is amazing and even with pinstripes it still sounds amazing.
Needed to fit it in to a little hatch back as well, I was impressed that I got it all in....
