That's my guess as to who the mystery drummer is.

Yes it is, and I like it hermano, kind of hard with our hero and very supportive between each other, it sounds good to me, you ask for more from the top guys I guess.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

After watching the video last night I was kind of impressed. I didn't click on the link yet to donate, I will though. As for the music, well, while I don't think it will be groundbreaking, I can appreciate the fact that Dave isn't all over the map. He has found/created something and he is taking it as far as possible. I hate hearing a so-called drummers record where it's put together like a demo to get gigs. Here is my rock tune, here is my latin tune, here is my jazz tune blah blah blah. Whether it's Jay Oliver or Steve weingart, it still sounds like the Dave Weckl Band. His playing still sounds so effortless it disturbs me. Hahaha

I got the VIP BUNDLE (100$), which is:
"The new album download the minute it is released, the new album on a CD AUTOGRAPHED by Dave and Jay, an AUTOGRAPHED Jay Oliver solo CD, the FULL playalong package for drums AND all instruments, a DVD with behind-the-scenes footage and tips/tricks to the music and production, a cool T-Shirt, and an AUTOGRAPHED photo."

The DVD with the "HOW they did it and tips, production, etc..." sounds nice.
The music, I hope it´s not just the type of what we hear in the promo video.

And I want to help Dave.

Thats not bad for $100 considering the above package but I can't imagine a lot of people let alone 3 people will have the 15K to drop on the ultimate packge.....

Then again I could be wrong.

HOD is not a tuff crowd at all. We are all being honest with are feelings on how we feel about drums, cymbals, music, musicians, drummers and the music business. If it gets out of hand once in a while that's a good thing. Contrast

15K ultimate package. WTF. If I had 15K to blow fuck yeah. For that amount of scratch I want hookers and dinner at Nobu in Malibu.

15k is just in their pockets. You also have to add the PA system, their airplane tickets, lodging and transportation etc...

If we can get Dave to make that the name of this new album, then I'll buy two copies.
