Thanks Julian, so nice of you to do this.

I was just publishing a new blog post and saw a referral from HOD.
I clicked it and it took me to this thread :)

If you are interested... There is a play along package for anyone who wants to be a member of my site. Membership isn't a big deal, and it's free, it's mostly to weed out spam and unwanted visitors. What's nice with the new rig (web site) is ... well everything. I can now offer digital downloads of music, video, and much more.

The members only play along package (zip file) is my tune "Everything!" with and without drums, click, no click, a chart, and video from a clinic.

I know Terry Branam has a perfect transcription of my drum performance on this tune (I saw it:) Maybe he will allow me to make it part of this download.

I've been in web development mode and looking forward to playing. I may be hitting Steve Holmes up for some lessons (yes I'm serious). The new lesson i saw yesterday is great.

Peace. Please stop by and say hello.

Any time to plug BG's...I'm in! Why this monster player is not in the top list of all
fav's from drummers is beyond me. Exposure? Lack of high profile gigs? This
is one of the main jobs forums have to offer...exposure of great talent in our backyard.

Re-watched the video I posted on page one...just killer. His funky hat work moves me!
He never over-chops his phrasing...tasty always, maturity...

YEAH...I dig me some Mr. Briggs!

..and then, one of the coolest cats around on top of it!

Yeah, I had to sign up. Frank is a class act. Got turned on to his beautiful playing on Mike Keneally's 'Sluggo'.

Thanks so much Clint,
Well I heard from Terry Branam and we are adding his 9 page transcription to the package. It should be ready later today.
Thanks for signing up.

Some classic FB! ABSOLUTELY love this drum sound as well...toms crisp and clear,
balanced (no cardboard in this mix), snare pops, cymbals clean and melodic. jmo.

Thanks Joe,
Those videos are almost 20 years old:)

Here is one I did recently for a backing tracks web site, Scofield's "Groove Elation"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS5ScofE0PY

I am working on a few tutorials for this groove. I will send you one that is finished.

I can't make the video public but if you have the link you can watch it.

Awesome...what a warm sexy drum sound...Frank is just class...one of my favorite players of all time
trumping pretty much everyone else. Plays so musically and tasty with a touch that inspires.
Has to be the most underrated drummer today. Love his technique...and this is how he fused
all the options together into his own voice. The cat I most would like to play like if I was honest.
A guy my 88yo dad would dig and a 10yo student. Never OVERplays!!!
