I lOVE that early Oldfield stuff. On the albums Simon is all over some of that music in the best way possible.
Also, Maggie Reilly had that haunting voice that absolutely was a big part of the soundtrack to my childhood.

Read that Simon has called it a day with Toto after 21 years, and that Keith Carlock will be tracking for the new album that is in the works. Its on his Facebook page and website.

Yeah, go back about three pages in this thread for more about this.

My apology. I had thought that I was following along. I see now.

When ever you need something to spark your day this vid will do the trick. It never gets old. Think I watched this video 3 times this week. Every couple of years I get the itch to watch this video. Band sounds great.

Picked up Simon's Protocol 2 this week. Needed some new music for the plane rides. Sounds great. Fun tunes. Love the guitar player.

this vid is also UBER coolness. big fills. lots of big drums with UGE sound. Guess I'm in a Simon Philips vortex.

Simon owns the Octobans! He has for decades.

In about 20 years cats like Vinnie, Simon, Wek, Gadd and a few others are not going to be around playing live venues. Maybe studio stuff. Sad

Jesus, people! PUT DOWN THE FUCKING PHONES! You paid to go take a shitty video, or to see great musicians and hear great music?
