Shameless Self Promotion / Anyone in Sao Paolo wanna meet up

Postby john lamb » Sat Aug 23, 2014 10:52 am

Just a short moment of shameless self promotion: I now have 2 books in print:

A Matter of Time: The science of rhythm and the groove. http://bit.ly/MatterTimeBook

Review:
When I read this book it was like having a grand unification of all of the moving parts. Everything fell into place and I now have a clear understanding rhythm and time - and the constituent parts. ... I was always puzzled by the fluid way Mingus and Richmond played around with time, but after reading this book it made perfect sense.

... For me personally this book is one of the few that have made a profound difference in my awareness of and how I approach music.

Mike Tarrani - Amazon Top 50 reviewer.

and my newest, Start Playing Drums, a method book for adults who always wanted to play but never got around to it.

Also, I will be in Sao Paolo for ExpoMusic in mid September to support the first book ... anyone else going or in the area who wants to meet up? I'll be there for a week.

Big congrats on the book John. Completing a book project (or any project) is no small fete!
(I know from whence I speak, I'm in the midst of a book deal now!)
I'll check it out, after I'm done writing!

Congratulations!!!!
